Charming Holiday Flat in Sorrento-Italy. Nestled in the heart of the historic center, in an area full of charm, between the small oasis of citrus, historical buildings, churches and ancient monasteries, the Residence Antico Palazzo Scala is the perfect place to spend a vacation in Sorrento in a warm and elegant.

However, we can affirm with every probability that the entrance hall with an barrel  vault with lunettes dates back to the fourteenth century, as the structure of the ladder and maybe the precious coloumn located in the courtyard in the foreground. Surely we can say that the building existed in 1600 had already appeared as the first sights of Sorrento as that of Pacichelli.
The work was completed in January 1999 have restored the building to its ancient identity, eliminating the surface disfiguration, by using local materials for finishes both interior and exterior. From the restoration so complete, we have obtained 6 apartments: 2 mono, 1-roomed and 3 three rooms.

Each of the six apartments of the Antico Palazzo Scala is elegantly furnished and equipped with all comforts for a pleasant holiday.

Antico Palace Scala residence is situated in the historical centre of Sorrento. The foundations of the building hide traces of the ancient city, which have been preserved during the process of its recovery. Due to the fact that the origins of the structure of the building is a very complex oepraition, because of numerous interventions that it has undergone during the centuries.We can affirm with every probability that the entrance hall with an arches barrel vault dates back to the fourteenth century, also the structure of the staircase and maybe the precious coloumn which can be found in the courtyard on the first floor also date back to the fourteenth century.
We are sure that the building existed in the 1600, which were already wilnessed by the first sights of Sorrento, like those of Pacichelli.
Unfortunately a series of interventions, above all in the 60’s, have upset the original establishment of the building. The last works that were done in January 1999 have restored the building to its ancient identity, eliminating disfiguration, by using local materials for the finishing touches, both in the interior and exterior of the building:From the complete restructure six apartments have been made ( 2 one-roomed apartments, 1 two-roomed apartments and 3 three-roomed apartments).

INT.1 (sleeps 4+2): 2-bedroom apartment on two floors with six beds (1 double with four-poster bed, 1 twin and living room with 2 single sofa beds). First floor: entrance hall, kitchen , living room with French balcony and bathroom with shower. Second floor (access via a spiral staircase): Two bedrooms and bathroom with shower.

INT.2 (sleeps 2+2): 1-bedroom apartment on two floors with four beds (1 double with four-poster bed and living room with double sofa bed). First floor: entrance hall, kitchen , living room with French balcony and bathroom with shower. Second floor (access via a spiral staircase): the master bedroom.

INT.3 (sleeps 2+2): 1-bedroom apartment on two floors with four beds (1 double with four-poster bed and living room with 2 single sofa beds). First floor: entrance hall, kitchen and living room with French balcony. Second floor (access via a spiral staircase): the master bedroom and bathroom with shower.

INT.4 (sleeps 4+1): 2-bedroom apartment with five beds (1 double, 1 twin and 1 single sofa bed). One floor: entrance hall, living room , kitchen , 2 bedrooms (both of which overlook the garden) and bathroom with shower

INT.5 (sleeps 2+2): 2-room apartment with four beds (1 double, and 1 double sofa bed). Entrance hall with kitchen, living room , 1 bedroom and bathroom with shower.

INT.6 (sleeps 4+1): 2-bedroom apartment with five beds (1 double, 1 twin and 1 single sofa bed). One floor: entrance hall, living room opening on to a large terrace with views over the rooftops of Sorrento, kitchen , 2 bedrooms (one with French balcony) and bathroom with shower.

Dal 22 agosto partirà il Positano Myth Festival, l’evento d’eccellenza della costiera amalfitana. Torna il “Mito” nella costa d’ Amalfi ed esattamente a Positano, il cuore delle due coste, quella di Amalfi e quella di Sorrento, affacciata a Capri e a Punta Campanella da dove la sorveglia la Dea Minerva.

Una serie di eventi nel nome di Ulisse, delle Sirene, dei Miti della Storia e della Leggenda, faranno di Positano una straordinaria location unica al mondo.

Positano è stata cantata nel V Libro dell’Odissea da Omero come il luogo dove Ulisse sfidò il canto delle sirene, ma è anche il Mito della “Madonna Nera” che arriva dal mare, dei Saraceni, degli antichi Romani, le cui vestigia sono in una Villa del primo secolo dopo Cristo, ma anche fra gli artisti moderni, come Semenov ed il suo Mulino d’Arienzo, Clavel e la sua torre di Fornillo surreale, dove ha ospitato Depero e persino Picasso, o la danza con i grandissimi Massine e Nureyev, per non parlare della musica con Stravinsky e Kempff.
Innumerevoli sono poi gli scrittori, poeti, artisti.
